Archana Narayanamurthy is the disciple of illustrious Nattuvanar , Teacher,Choreographer Sri PANDANALLUR S PANDIAN . She had her basic training and completed her Arangetram under the guidance of Ms P. Suryakala International Dance Director of Temple of Fine Arts Founded by His Holiness Swami Shantanand Saraswathi .
As an accomplished dancer amongst the younger generation Archana has been performing for more than 2 decades in various sabha’s in Chennai , festivals in India and Abroad . Archana educationally is a lawyer, studied Bachelor of Law from Dr Amedkhar Law University and master of law from Annamalai University. On the artistic side she has perused her master’s in Bharatanatyam.
She is the Managing trustee of Pandanallur School of Arts training budding talents in Chennai . Her intense teaching draw’s many students from overseas for advance learning . In 2014 Archana has been appointed as an expert member for Bharatanatyam by the Adhoc board at the Tamilnadu Music and dance University Chennai .She is the trustee of Marudha Natyanjali conducting Natyanjali dance festival every year on Mahashivaratri day at Mahalingaswamy temple tiruvidaimarudur . With the blessings of the cosmic Lord Nataraja aims to travel a long way in field of art and create a niche for herself .
Archana Narayanamurthy train’s students in traditional Pandanallur style of bharatanatyam. Following the footsteps of the Guru shisya’s with passion and persistence excel in solo performing. Maiden Salangai Poojai and Arangetram of her disciple was performed in 2004&2008 respectively. The students give solo performances in Chennai sabha’s have participated in many competition including the district, state level and won prizes and appreciation.
